Sansui SR-636

10/10 by peternovy

When reading about the Sansui SR-636 online you'll find mostly statements that it is the smaller/cheaper version of the SR-838, but this turntable deserves so much more than such a description. The only feature that is different between the two tables is how the rotations are stabilized: quartz in the 838 vs analog in the 636. For all other purposes these two tables are essentially the same, most importantly the tonearm, plinth are pretty much identical. The SR-636 plays wonderfully, has excellent parameters and stunning looks. Highly recommended!
