Where do I get parts?
Is the belt ,subplatter same as a REGA?
I think I replied to your question over on DIYAudio. Basically, only the RB250 is interchangeable (of course!) with any Rega arm. However, the belts are certainly available here in the UK (just type "Systemdek" into EBay UK - you need the round-section one for a I/920, not the flat IIX belt). The sub-platter and bearing, and also the fitting to the glass platter, seem to have different dimensions compared with a Rega.
If the sub-platter appears to run true and there are no extraneous noises, there should be no need for anything other than lubrication of the bearing and belt replacement. The deck is a fairly simple design, and few other parts should need replacing. I would just enjoy it! Fortunately, you picked up a very decent phono stage at the same time, so a good quality cartridge will not be wasted.
Because of the different size, the Rega sub-platter upgrades commonly fitted are not applicable. However, you might
be able to fit an acrylic upgrade platter designed for a Systemdek IIX - but I'd check the dimensions with suppliers first. The RB250 could take an improved counterweight and stub, which would probably be the most cost-effective upgrade. The Systemdek in the picture has an RB300, where this is less necessary.
