I love, love, love Earth, Wind & Fire, in case you didn't know...Trouble is...One of my favorites of theirs never made the charts! :(

A good message nonetheless! :)

Of course, like the late Maurice White, I still think "Faces" was their best album...Here are two uncharted reasons why! =D>

Another artist I absolutely love is Stevie Wonder...This was originally recorded by The Jackson 5 and written by Stevie, but the original remained unreleased for years until the "Unreleased Masters" CD came out...

Carl Anderson (probably better known for his hit duet of "Friends & Lovers" with Gloria Loring) later recorded it in 1986 and it's just a fantastic slice of funk! 8)

Speaking of Stevie, here are three more that didn't chart from the man himself! 8)

The first one comes from his "Hotter Than July" album...

The second one is a bonus track on "The Original Musiquarium"...

Finally, a love song from "In Square Circle"...

I discovered the last one on a Hanna Barbera VHS copy of "Top Rock" in the thrift shop...Can't beat 50 cents!

I am also a Level 42 fan, but I'm guessing by 1991, when this came out, their star had come and gone...

Another favorite of mine is Detroit's own Marshall Crenshaw...While "Someday, Someway" was a hit of sorts, the follow-up on his 2nd album, "Field Day", should have had a field day on the charts...Alas, it didn't even touch the Top 40...

Even singer Marti Jones had her own take on it, but it fared even worse...

Here's a good one from singer Sofia Shinas...While only reaching #75, it could have done better...

In 2002, Kelly Osbourne released her first album...While not a huge success, I do like this song, that did practically NOTHING! :(

Maybe the time for a rock song had come and gone by then...

Here's one from Stephen Bishop...This sound may have been on the wane in the 90's, but it does boast the great Phil Collins on drums and background vocals! :D

I loved Paula Abdul's debut album, but this one should not have been relegated to the b-side only of "Forever Your Girl"...It deserved to be another single in it's own right...

Going back to Whitney Houston, here's one from her 2nd album that could have been another single...It was not one of her many #1 hits, though...

I love her cover of The Isleys, too...

Here are a couple from a young Miss Stacy Lattisaw that I wish were bigger hits...One was a huge UK hit in 1980 and the other a moderate R&B hit in 1984...

Very infectious melodies, though! 8)

I am reminded, too, of this song by singer Annie Golden from "Sixteen Candles" that virtually got no airplay...

By 1993, it seemed like Bruce Hornsby's hit-making days were over..."Fields Of Gray" was a moderate AC hit, but this one, which stalled at #121, was one of those songs that have endured...Maybe only beloved by me, but still a favorite and it's got Bonnie Raitt on it, so what's not to like??? :-k
