Looking through these photos I get size envy, but I get bigger isn't always better... this is where I am sat a lot of the time.

Thanks- if you're out there on the water... you can get away with a bit more bottom end methinks...

Birds' eye view. All vintage equipment ( except for the ginormous TV, #-o a compromise with the significant other) .

P.S. for those interested in merging the old with the new: I connected ( using a cable converter headphone-to-RC ) the headphone-jack from the TV to the AUX input on my 1980's Pioneer receiver, and Voilé, Surround-Stereo-Loud sound! =D>

Tidy set up and looks nice and cozy too. A couple of qs- 1) what brand are those a/v racks...they look a bit Swedish 2)does the metal shelving/construction affect your equipment/turntable? I've always wondered about this and I see a number of members have metal a/v racks.

Thanks... the metal racks are from Home Depot. The racks actually provide excellent ventilation for the equipment. If well leveled ( adjustable screw on feet) they are solid and sturdy.

The lamps are vintage UL LED desk lamps. I got them at a church barn sale. The closest thing I've found similar to these is here:

In addition to music, I see you enjoy impressionist art.

I've been looking for a P-mount TT lately and ran across a Technics SL10.

It came with a Shure DT35P cartridge that just didn't do it for me so I loaded my Technics P24 with new stylus.

This humble p-mount conical sounds freaking amazing!
Frequency response of 10Hz to 30kHz. And tracks at 1.25g.

I've been wanting a TT that my wife and kids can feel comfortable using.
The SL10 is perfect for them.
So, I had the talk with my better half and convinced her that the system would not clutter up the living room.
I tucked the amp and turntable behind the television, out of site.

And brought up a pair of JBLs I wasn't using.

I think everyone's happy, I know I sure am.
