Hi there. First time in this forum.
I have a Audio Technica LP60. When a record is finish playing, the tonearm will automatically go back to the holder (as it should). But recently I have noticed that the tonearm arm is not lifting high enough and the needle is scratching across the record.
Curious if this is a tonearm issue?
Audio Technica LP60 tonearm issue??

When I use the cue it lifts high enough. If I know the last song on the record is coming I have to hit the cue button to event it from scratching. So no, I feel like it’s not lifting enough when it heads back to the start on its own.

That’s what I figured. I might have to open it up to see if I can manually reset it.
Thanks for the help.

How long have you had your LP60? If you purchased it new and have had it for less than a year, it's probably still under warranty and AT may be able to repair it or replace it. Just beware that if you open it, you'll void the warranty. (Which won't matter if the warranty has already expired)

Oh it’s older for sure. So the warranty is not valid anymore.

Is your turntable placed on a completely level surface? Sometimes placing a turntable like this on a slightly-uneven surface can affect the performance of the tonearm lifter and other features, as well as create some tracking distortion.
