That's a very common cheap ceramic used on millions of inexpensive record players.

Got this cart with a broken stylus on old Dual sled.
Metal cart, white plastic housing, translucent turquoise stylus. No markings anywhere that I can see.

I think I found the answer... National Panasonic EPS-270C, was also sold under Aiwa (AN-6) brand. Never seen either before.

Might also be the Nagaoka MM-321B or similar.

Thank you!
Is it possible that Nagaoka made these OEM for Panasonic? They definitely look so similar, just no Nagaoka label on the front.

Yes I think so.

Nagaoka currently make DJ cartridges based on this design:

It's very interesting! I found stylus for both carts, but for some reason no one wants to cross reference them against each other.

EPS-270C, AN-6 and MM-321B are all mentioned here among others:

It is definitely a Stanton, but I’ve not seen them for so long I’d hesitate to say which. If you have the standard Technics arm it should be fine, but you need to know the Stanton model to set the tracking weight. And there’s an adjustment to account for the brush too, which one brochure suggests is 1 gram.

Have you looked elsewhere on this site for any background? A clearer picture, from several angles would help. Are there any markings on the body?

viperz - The Technics EPC-270C was supplied on a large number of Technics turntables from the mid 1970s into the early 1980s, perhaps longer.

There are good quality replacement needles available for it from Jico in Japan.
You can search the forum here for comments from owners. It has always gotten positive reviews, as far as I can recall.
But it's not a top-level cartridge.

Since this was the era when Technics was manufacturing some of the most advanced phono cartridges in the world, I think the quality should be pretty good. I own one I received as part of another deal, but I have never mounted it up so I can't comment on the sound. But if you start another thread devoted to the EPC-270C, you will probably get some comments from owners.

I have this mystery cartridge and I would like to know more. It is mostly plastic and has no markings other than a green dot. Quite mysterious.
