Jelco Easy VTA - by Jeff at Audiomods?

Post by rtrt » 19 Feb 2019 07:19

Looking around on eBay and this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jelco-Easy-V ... 0011.m1850

just reminded me strongly of the micrometer version of the Audiomods arm - http://www.audiomods.co.uk/completearms.html

Looking at the Audiomods site just now, it's not been updated in over 2 years. I seem to remember that the Classic was being replaced and a Series 6 was coming.

Is Jeff/Audiomods still in business? If yes what's the latest news?

Jeff is still in business and answering emails. I emailed him a couple of weeks ago about getting an arm built, however he said he won't have any arms available until the spring. He didn't give too many details away, but I think there may new models available soon.

I just purchased, but haven't received yet, an Audiomods Series 6 arm which has a carbon fibre & aluminum armwand so it's no longer a modded Rega. Completely his own now.

Here's a link to a thread on the Art of Sound website with lots of pics.
