Also owns his own electrical substation.
In Japan, the super-audiophools have their own power poles and their own transformers.

At his age, he's lucky he can hear anything without a hearing aid.

Does anyone really want a turntable the size of a washing machine? A piece of wood with spikes or Sorbothane would be ample for my turntable.

As for the electricity supply, it brings to mind that series of ads that Marks and Spencer did over here in the UK:

*Breathy, seductive female voice* "This is not just electricity - this is HD electricity!"

The new specie, Seal cable, is said to offer higher grade of listening satisfaction

I love the fact that the 20cm thick cable there goes into an outlet in the wall which will most likely have standard 50 year old wiring in it. Also in the amp itself there will be some connector or track on a PCB which consists of a few microns of copper.

Yes, but the amp is protected from SEa, Air, and Land attack. :!:

Actually, it ate the brain of the obsessed audiophile who was dumb enough to purchase something like that.

I was also impressed with the wooden scaffolding to support the wall socket and the cable, I am pretty sure that he had heard the difference !

With just a NEMA 5-15R socket, they're gonna need it. I am impressed, if this is in a residential setting, that the outlet is installed in a commercial manner (ground pin up).

Also note, the string on the pedestal, supporting the AC plug, is audiophile grade, cryogenically treated, and Machinadynamica approved. To the unknowing, google "Machinadynamica".

And the wooden frame it uses is made from a special Afromosia.
Curiously, this same wood is used as an inlay on the tonearm to damp resonances in the Garrard SL-95 turntables.
