Might be a silly Question But is it worth using a Test Record with having Mono Amps.

Yes, the test records are mostly relevant to cartridge set up.

And also for giving you a good general idea of overall performance.

Any recommendations for a particular record? I was thinking of getting Hi-Fi News test record.

Thanks All for the replies, That's the one I had my eye on as well, If anyone has any Input on how good it is.

The Hi-Fi News HFN 002 is a bit hit and miss. It depends which tests you want to use. The resonance tests are all over the place and the full range sweep is not linear at the highest frequencies.

This thread compares the Ortofon, Tacet and Analogue Productions test records and may be of interest:

Apologies for earlier misinformation, the HFN 002 full range sweep seems OK - it's the white noise track that loses linearity above 18kHz.

The resonance tests were discussed here and my findings were similar:

I'll take a look at those threads. I have an oscilloscope, so I'd prefer a record targeted as use with instruments.
