Re: The CD I Am Listening To
Ah, yes...One of my favorites from the early days...I can also say that one of the best cures for the winter blues is listening to this...This is a much longer remix that I found...
Personally, to me, it's just one of those tunes where even 10 minutes of bliss is too short! :D
Oh, and by the way, if you like that one, I highly recommend these CD's, too...The early stuff is just as powerful! :D

I also found this album not too long ago for $1...Not too shabby and more great early stuff!

Rockin' with Jeff Beck's Live + again... can't get enough of this CD. Got the LP, too.
Jimmy Hall's vocals are top notch on this album!
...'n' don't get me started on Jeff's playing...the bassist...the drummer...the mastering...mmm! Dasher melts...

Re: The CD I Am Listening To
Excellently-Produced Cd --- Thematic, Sweeping, Concise. CD actually sounds a bit better than the vinyl, despite the AAA production. (good, but could-be-better pressing)

Bob Dylan - Greatest Hits Vol II
I just got it a few days ago.
I got a vinyl copy which a little while ago but, it is not in the greatest shape.
So, I got the CD version which sounds much better.
It is also a great companion to my Dylan Vol I CD.
I guess that I now will be on the lookout for a Vol III CD :)

The last CD is played was Ariana Grande's Sweetener. Nice tunes. I wish I could figure out where to put my mini hi-fi stereo to get the best acoustics. Also she's not known for her enunciation.

Re: The CD I Am Listening To
I've been listening to this one, and Everything Must Go lately ... I still remember walking into Virgin Megastore to grab Everything Must Go more than 15 years ago. Overall, I like the songs better on Two Against Nature, but Everything Must Go has much better sound quality. I didn't know (at the time) these were both available on vinyl; now, finding vinyl copies are like finding fairy dust.

Re: The CD I Am Listening To
In honor of its 20th anniversary...
Britney Spears - Baby One More Time
I noticed something was off, especially on her cover of "The Beat Goes On." The bass was weak and the music would bury the vocals! I had thought it had something do to with my acoustics, but then I discovered that the left speaker was connected out of phase. I have a Sanyo CWM-460 mini hi-fi system (CD + tape + AM/FM radio). Instead of the standard speaker terminals, the wires have proprietary white plastic plugs that are easy to insert upside down, especially with inadequate light.

Then I played the album again from the beginning. Boom. Everything's fine.
Then I played Sweetener again, and it sounds better than it ever did. I don't even have to turn it up as high as I did previously. The bass is deep, the vocals are present, and the phantom center is exactly where it needs to be and sounds like it's coming from behind (and outside of) the speakers. Very transparent.
