Great looking setup, but to play Boston, you have to have 6ft tall speakers with (4) minimum 15 inch woofers :lol:MCM_Fan wrote: ↑13 Dec 2018 02:53My current incarnation:

That photo doesn't provide proper perspective to accurately show the size of the speakers. This is closer to what they look like in real life:

I had a pair of these, but I sold them when I downsized and moved into a smaller place:

Simple and beautiful.
Now a question.

It's a folding plate holder. They come in a variety of finishes and sizes. That one is 8" tall. I picked it up at my local Goodwill store for 3 or 4 bucks. I see them there all the time. You can also get them new from Amazon for 7 or 8 bucks. Just make sure you get one 8 or 9 inches tall.drywhitetoast wrote: ↑20 Dec 2018 04:45Love it!MCM_Fan wrote: ↑18 Dec 2018 08:06

Quite expensive new ($498), but extremely well made, with a steel top plate, fillable extruded aluminum columns, with a separate channel for running speaker wires (my current wires aren't quite long enough to reach), cast aluminum bases, spikes, etc.
I lucked out and got a used pair locally from a private seller for 40 bucks, complete with box, instructions, and all accessories. Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but there are two separate vertical columns, a small dark metallic grey front column and a much deep semi-elliptical black column in the rear. When filled, these are very heavy, solid stands.
