Those are some super lovely Pioneer pieces Les! 8)

You need a really nice rack for that stack to fit into.

I really love the tape decks too!

I've got that tuner too and it's an excellent one. I should have a new tuner to show here in a few days.

This is my newest piece a Pioneer TX-9100 Tuner from 1973-75 pictured with my SA-9500II Amp. This was their top of the line tuner and still very highly regarded.

It features a walnut veneer cabinet and I believe the front corner pieces are rosewood. Metal knobs, separate volume controls, 2 stage muting and something you don't see very often a headphone jack with separate volume control. 8)

The TX-9100 is a fine tuner and interestingly, it shares the same FM front end as other TOTL Pioneer receivers and separate tuners from that period such as the SX-1010, SX-1250, SX-1980, TX-9500, TX-9500II and TX-9800.

Now you must get a matching SA-9100.

Thanks. At the time, I was planning on buying a PL-510A but I managed to scrape together the extra bucks to buy the PL-530 instead.

I hope to one day strip off the vinyl wrap and replace it with real wood veneer.

That's a very handsome PL-514X as well. I've always liked those "X" version turntables. 8)

Thanks very much Tink! That stack is my bedroom system and unfortunately, I don't have a lot of space for a rack. The good thing is that those pieces stack very well. The downside is that it's a pain to have to tear it all apart when I need to work on the amp which is at the bottom.

My second restore. Replaced the vinyl veneer with real red oak veneer, then stained coffee brown.

You know, Les...I was just mentioning that to Tink the other day...

There is this one...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PIONEER-SA-910 ... ctupt=true

Could be a good project and they've been selling for twice as much in better condition...

I see someone else is looking for one, too...

https://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details ... er_sa9100/

You could also have this one sent from Scotia...

https://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details ... er-sa9100/

...to Nova Scotia!

It's kismet! =D>
