Re: Did you buy any Vinyl today?
I picked up but 1 record where I bought my 2 Duals on Easter Fool's weekend.
Nazareth's self-titled LP with green WB label. I had a copy like it years ago, but lost it when I must have left it on the roof of my car...oh the silly kiddle days...
It looked really clean in the store...got it home and it looked a little crispy sounding...sadly, I wasn't let down...I keep it with the repress with the later label that actually sounds much cleaner.

I just got a nice classical LP by two lesser known classical composers.
Kalkbrenner and Spohr
Qunintets by both.....
It's NM and was only $1. :)

I love getting older records that are still sealed:
Timbaland - Shock Value 2007 US release Mint from discogs
I have to admit, the cover has suffered a little shelf wear, but it’s as good as NM. Still sealed, so hopefully vinyl is flawless!

I picked up the 2010 repressing of The Stooges (still sealed), and finally replaced my copy of Hüsker Dü - Zen Arcade. The later is still on the way, but I'm looking forward to spinning The Stooges tomorrow. I've only ever had that on CD.

This vinyl never made it to the US as far as I can tell. Kept hitting delayed status on Amazon US. Other sites kept it at coming. MusicDirect now lists it as awaiting repress; everywhere else now lists it as not available. I see on the Amazon russia site it is listed for end of September 2018 release.spud1909 wrote:Tempted to pre order Joe Perry - Sweetzerland Manifesto. Can’t find a UK release date yet though. Has anyone else bought it and have any opinions?
Def vaporware. So I just listened to it on Tidal.
And I can verify it is a godawful mess deserving of no stars.
Save your cash if it is available where you are and you haven't sprung for it yet.

Popped to the local antiques shop which has a pretty decent selection of vinyl, picked a copy of Genesis Invissible touch and also the eagles and their hotel California (they had about 7/8 copies in their selection, the first copy had a horrendous scratch in it, second large number of smaller scratches but third was good. £6 each

Had to work from home to retrieve this, as it's about 43ºc (109ºf) today. Well worth it

Wow, 43º in Germany (where was that?), that's insane. Sort of temperatures we get, although it did get just over 46 here a few years ago, record highs are all recent.dysmike wrote:Had to work from home to retrieve this, as it's about 43ºc (109ºf) today. Well worth it

Just where I'm from, not there now ;) We hit 50 last year, I keep wondering why I moved.

Ouch! Thanks for the warning, I might steer clear after that review.armyslowrdr wrote:This vinyl never made it to the US as far as I can tell. Kept hitting delayed status on Amazon US. The KLF - The White Room 1991 UK original from Discogs NM vinyl VG+ cover
A great classic album, and nice to find the vinyl in such good condition. This is the original U.K. pressing which has all the crowd noise and samples which subsequent releases had to leave out due to copyright issues.
