I used to have a Musical Fidelity A5 + Tuner Roksan Radius + Lyra Dorian but the little darlings on the mantlepiece made me go down the "classic"(cheap) route

Wow - nice looking, and I hope it sounds as good as it looks.
I don't believe Leaks of that era made it to the US, so I've never seen them before, though I just finished the Gilbert Briggs biography, which mentions them (Wharfedale and Leak were both bought by Rank, which assigned electronics to Leak and speakers to Wharfedale (even if under the Leak name)).

The green thing is the magnificent..FUBA Swing S Powered aerial It has its own mains connector and this connects to an inbuilt amplifier the proper 70's Perspex wings have a metal strip around the edge and this is the actual aerial itself you can tune it to the correct frequency they cost around £40 when £20 was a weeks wage so very expensive..I have an external aerial and this matches it for performance..I think they were just too expensive I have a glowing magazine test of one somewhere. If I had room foe Leak 2060's Id have them in a flash I use Monitor 352's at the moment which I was given for nothing and they are quite superb...mind you I have a lifetime riding British bikes and Classic cars attending Black Sabbath concerts in the 70's so my hearing might not be as er..acute as I'd like...ahem

The Leak 2001 was a missed opportunity though, superb turntable but used a high-ish mass arm when the trend was for very low mass.The Audio technica arm is beautifully made though and I have had it singing along with a Goldring G900IGC..I have I spare silicone sphere/bag so if I lose more than one its junk
