Hi SF
The flock of Aristons will be my last ones. I don't have the time or the space to do anymore after these ones tbh.

I have a Linn Basik LVX tone arm on my Ariston Audio RD11s that i run both a Linn Adikt Cart, and sometimes a Linn K9 on. They both sound amazing. The Adikt defiantly takes the win. The Linn Adikt MM car will give some MC's a run for the money,

I run a Lyra Argo on my LP12. It was chosen because of the tonearm I use - Naim Aro.

Also got a Linn Asaka in great shape but is on a another deck. Might try it on the LP12.

I have been hosting an AT14Sa in my Linn Basik with LVX tonearm as a guest. It was nice for a change of flavor but I remounted the permanent resident yesterday, a Vhure V15 RS with a Jico MR stylus. "A match made in heaven" as a reviewer said 45 years ago.

A little update on my Ariston RD-11S. Still running the Grado Reference Sonata 1, but changed out the SME Series 2 Improved for a Nottingham Interspace arm. The improvement is distinct - more neutral, increased detail and much quicker dynamics.

For some years i had a Linn Adikt cartridge on an Ariston Icon II but the TT was just too twitchy on a suspended floor so I replaced it with a Sota Star Saphire. Now the Linn has been replaced and a Koetsu has taken it's place. I'm considering selling the Adikt and the Ariston might be sold for parts.

I posted earlier. My Linn Krystal’s cantilever failed mid side after about 200 hours.

Although Linn insists that failures are few and caused by wet cleaning, I did not wet clean, and my dealer says he’s seen more than five failures.

Rather than trade the cartridge back to Linn for about 15% off a new one, I sent it to Soundsmith for a $299 sapphire cantilever replacement. I’ve had it back now for about 6 months, and to my ear the Soundsmith repair sounds better than the original.

While waiting for the return of the Krystal, I bought a Lyra Delos. I was shocked at how beautiful the Delos sounded. It is in another class above the Krystal for the same money. It makes me want to hear higher level cartridges in the Lyra line up.

I’ve got the repaired Krystal on the LP12 in my second system. The Lyra Delos is on the higher spec LP12 in the main system.

Meanwhile, the high spec LP12 is in a long term comparo with a VPI Classic 3SE right now. The VPI, at less than one third the price of the Linn is winning.

I'm running an Ariston RD11 Superieur, Rega RB250 with Michell Tecnoweight, Dynavector DV20X2H. Big improvement over the AT440MLa I was using previously.

I was able to acquire a Lyra Kleos earlier this summer. It does noticeably better the Delos in the Ekos SE arm.

I’m now jonesing to hear the Etna.

I’ve put the Delos on my LP12 with the Ittok and it sounds great. But you can definitely hear the difference.

Compared to other cartridges I’ve owned, the Kleos is the best at extracting subtle details and at reproducing attack and decay. This is especially noticeable on well recorded piano, but can be observed on anything else that’s been well recorded too.

I did acquire an Etna, but rather than mount it on an LP12, I put it on the Levinson 515 as a replacement for a Cadenza Bronze. The Kleos+LP12 combo clearly beat the Cadenza Bronze+Levinson, but swapping the Etna in for the Cadenza Bronze gave the edge to the Levinson by a very easily recognized margin.
