Floorstanders, Bookshelf or Headphones - POLL
As most of us have probably spent a lot of time listening to different loudspeakers I thought it might be interesting to hear what everybody is using in their systems? To get the ball rolling, I'm running Ruark Crusader 2 floorstanders at the moment.

Oops, I added an option for Home Cinema Multi Channel and it wiped the votes so far. Sorry, I didn't know it would do that

I have B&W DM4's which i think a fatastic speakers for what they are, and in fact sold on a pair of LS 3/5a prefering the sound of these. although i am sure paired with the AB1's the rogers would have been superb. an unbelievable clarity in the mids, but bass felt a little false and no deep bass at all.
Also have a pair of wharfdale diamond 3 in the daugthers set up.
And my project for the summer is a pair of the large advent loudspeakers which need a good sanding and the bass cones refoaming. I couldn't resist them at £5 delivered.

Paradigm Active / 20 pair.
See: http://www.stereophile.com/standloudspe ... index.html
But, also, one alternate pair for use when the muse dictates: DIY LS3/5a from Falcon Acoustics DIY kit.
With a Hafler DH-220 amplifier. (and Sunfire sub-woofer).

Klipsch Palladium P-17B in my main system.
I've never been a big Klipsch fan, or a fan of horns in general but I'm really in love with these speakers. I listened to a lot of speakers before deciding on these and the longer I own them the more I like them. I demoed an REL sub recently and will add one later this year.
I used to be a floorstander guy, but my last few speakers have been bookshelves of the larger sizes. With or without a sub, easier to get good sound in smaller to mid size rooms.

Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's in the lounge and Tannoy F1 Mercury in the bedroom.
Small bookshelf's but they suit the size of my flat / rooms.

Osborn Epitomes, although I don't have the Bass bins so only the taller speaker.
