My first nomination for 2010...

Any other suggestions for expensive nonsense products?

I just had to check my calendar to make sure it's not April 1st yet. Who thinks up this cr@p? File alongside pyramid power, the Loch Ness monster, Yetis etc...

Did you know your fuses are mucking up your hi-fi? Nope, neither did I until I read this...

Almost everybody would be better off putting the money toward a better phono stage.

These tweak guys already listed are pikers. They give you an actual physical product for your money.

Have a look at this:

Read carefully - I had to read twice to grip what was being offered. My jaw dropped.

I put one of these Russ Andrews specification 13A mains cable fuses™ in my Teasmade™ ! Ohh... I could even sense the breath of the Chaiwallah.

HI,
well, I am currently working on a prototype of a TWikER-H2. The main obstacle so far is resolution. It is so far succesful with images of corduroy fabric, showing the grain. It resisted finer resolution, but a picture of a pear shows its liquidly sweet grainy character.
When it is perfected, an offer will be placed for consideration.
Regards,
b50

LMFAO!!
"Fitted them at the weekend and can't believe the difference! Its almost as if I've upgraded the whole power cables once again. The detail is a lot clearer and there is more punch to the bass, despite only listening at low volumes.

Spent last night just playing old cds just to hear the difference!"

No comment from Mr A Bullshit from Cheddar Gorge then?

If you remove all of the fuses from your rig it will be dead quiet. No charge for the advice...

I think we should all club together and just buy one, just for a laugh....
We could a listening session here in the UK and one in the US and share our findings. I think some beer should be lined up for the evening.....

I nominate anything by Russ Andrews...the guy who insists that even a solid core cable will be directional and have greater resolution and dynamics when used in one direction over another....then adds several "noughts" to the price tag once he's worked out one end of a cable from the other for us.....Oh, and where would we be without his magic mains cables?

How about this piece of journalism as a helpful hint as to what mainstream hifi has fast become in recent years?

http://www.techradar.com/news/audio/hom ... try-162930

or howzabout this one?

http://www.techradar.com/news/audio/hom ... try-162930

or this one:

http://www.audiodestination.co.uk/index ... ts_id=1518

or this one:

http://www.lessloss.com/blackbody-p-200.html

But my personal favourite, tongue in cheek product range has to be here:

http://www.nathanmarciniak.com/elemental/

In fact, there's so many out there, its fact that many reviewers are actually insane ( a recent test by Whiskas Cat food claims that 9 out of 10 hfi journos are, in fact, quite insane.....so said their chief spokesanimal, Tabitha). Fact is, its we the gullable hifi enthusiast who must be buying this junk otherwise it wouldn't be sold.

Yes, that one is great. Very very funny.

HAHAHA... That's comedy gold.

Art Dudley in this months Stereophile commented on THESE VERY isolators in his possession.

He writes about a bunch of snake oil products and mentions:

Quantum's QX4 Electro Magnetic Field Stabilizers...

and that they work   when tested on his wife.
