Technics SL-D3 Tonearm Tube Replacement

Post by vellmichael » 08 Oct 2019 14:18

Hi all,

New to the turntable scene and just got an SL-D3 to start off with a couple of weeks ago. All seems to work well [haven't connected it to an amp + speakers yet but everything seems to work as it should, also replaced the stylus]

Anyway, my query - the tonearm tube is a bit squashed in a small area and wanted to find a replacement just for the tube. Looked online and found some readily available for the tubes for the Technics SL 1200 and/or 1210.

Would you know if these are the same as the ones on the SL-D3? I downloaded the manuals for both TT and the arm tube specs seem to be exactly the same.

Appreciate any advice you might give me

Thanks in advance

Mike

Think so, but wait for others to chime in. As far as I know, dimensions are the same, but don't quote me. I know they use the same overhang gauge, which makes me think you could swap them.
