All right Vinyl Engine folks, I just uploaded my initial impressions of the Denon VL12 Prime Turntable on my YouTube channel.
These impressions are from a listeners standpoint, not a DJ. I will do a more detailed review after I've spent more time with the Denon. I will be doing some A/B testing against my Pioneer PLX-1000, some needle drops and just some good 'ol critical listening.
I will also upload some needle drop videos using the same cartridge, LP and tracks with both turntables.
I hope those who like Direct Drive turntables will find this video and my upcoming videos useful.
Thanks Jeff! I agree with you thoughts on a few of the negatives you pointed out. The Letter on the front face and the side RCA jacks are unfortunate for us home users. Seems like with some pretty simple mods, Denon could come up with a non-DJ version that could be very attractive in the marketplace. They could even go back to a rosewood type veneer on the plinth.
