Hi,

many seem to have come with SME arms so series 3 may suit a MM :

What is on it at the moment ? budget ? MM ? / MC ? cartridge budget ?

Is it worth refurbishing / tuning / modding / upgrading ?

Next silly question please ..........

Hi,

The M15E super is an oldy but apparently a goody,
top of the line high compliance cartridge.
M-15E Super was introduced in 1972 with following spec.
Generating system:MI type (similar to Ortofon VMS series)
Output: 5mV at 1kHz against signal velocity 5cm/s
Range: 10-40,000Hz
VTF: 0.75-1.5g
Stylus tip: 0.3x0.7mil
Compliance: 30x10^(6) cm/dyne
A genuine replacement stylus will not be cheap.

SME series 3 would suit it very nicely.
