The first thing to try is contact cleaner inside all switches and speed controls.

Cheers.

I guess you have cleaned the slider, the quartz lock button etc.... with no luck...... :-k :-k :-k

Looks like lots of internal quick connectors between boards, clean those too.

Though there is no service manual in the VE library, there are pictures of the maual here which you can view and use to troubleshoot:

http://www.manualslib.com/manual/376630 ... e=8#manual

Check out functions of the power supply board, relay board etc......

Good luck and welcome to VE......HTH

Most controls have protective covers, but most have small gaps or holes into which you can spry contact cleaner.

Right ! Ok how do I start to trouble shoot this prob I've cleaned all poss switches and it trys to start with a bit of help and then cuts out. I'm desperate to crack this prob before resorting to buy new parts so if anyone can walk me through this would be great ! but if it comes to it where would I get circuit boards for this model

Hi I stumbled over this and thought Id add a suggestion, even if its a year later ;)
The problem you describe basically replicates a problem I have with a Numark TT2400. I have yet to complete the trouble shooting, due to time restraints - but will get back onto it soon. My TT basically also died on me suddenly - no more motor movement.
I thought at first that a burnt out resistor was the cause, but after replacing that it was not solved. The Voltage from the transformer IS arriving at the circuit board / voltage control board for the motor. Now on this circuit board (too which the motor is connected!) is a Chip or integrated circuit and Im assuming this is damaged. These chips are replaceable and do not cost too much (the info is on the chip! and usually come out Japan ie Google) Could be a good idea? sorry about the mixed info - but its worth a bash!

I have a similar problem mine starts ok but starts to slow down after 4 or 5 minutes. No visual issues internally and no evidence of tampering.
If anyone has any advice it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you
