I have a vintage Sony Separates HiFi System and I want to integrate it into a new Entertainment system I am building. The components of the Sony are as follows
P2-T22 Turntable
TA-242 Amp
ST-242lL Tuner
TC-K22 Tape Deck.
The problem I have is that all the separates run off the TA-242 Amp and all the separates also draw their power from the Amp. Can I keep all the components together and run the lot from a Denon AVR X2500H Receiver. Can I modify the power plugs on the separates, so I can draw the necessary power?
System Integration
Re: System Integration
Hi,
maybe I do not understand your project properly, but if you have before the other three Sony components
(all three have a low power consumption and a low inrush current)
to connect the Denon receiver with the switched power outputs of the Sony Amp ...
The Denon transformer is too large, whose inrush current (magnetizing current)
would overstrain the power switch in the Sony amp.
