Never know what's around the corner??

Post by cat9 » 01 Jun 2018 17:20

5 minutes from our home I find these....

Original owner / pristine condition / very little use / these items do not have 100 hours since the mid 70's he said ....hard to dispute that from condition

He had both piecers gone over...cleaned....re-lubed where necessary....bulbs replaced, etc
He wanted them to leave his home in perfect working order....man of integrity!!

Owners and service manuals for everything here too

Thanks for looking!

Fred

Hi Fred....thx!

Not really.....never really started.

He bought these 3 pieces in the '70's and put them in a living room cabinet and essentially never used them.
He said he was exaggerating a lot to say they had 100 hours of use....he said honestly more like 50.
Amazing what's out there!

...and nothing is in its place ....this is an older retired couple now and have other things to keep themselves busy with

Excellent!

Sometimes you just luck into a great find. Last weekend I picked up a near-mint Pioneer PL-518 from the original owner with box, manual, AT-13ea cart with new stylus ... even the screwdriver and cartridge-mounting hardware (unopened).

Reminds me of the fellow I worked with out here who went through an extended search all over for a minty early convertible Mustang ... and the one he found was a 65 survivor 'barn find' not 3km from our workplace. Tires, belts, battery, fresh oil and tune-up and a thorough clean and it looked like it drove off the new car lot.

Amazing stuff there, cat9!! =D> I hope you got a fair deal on them, too!

Just goes to show that the good stuff is still out there, and sometimes right under your nose!
