Hello,

what breaks? the hinges themselves or the acrylic glass?
There are no more suitable replacement hinges.

Cracks in acrylic glass can be repaired very firmly with two components of synthetic resin, which harden to crystal clear.
In Germany, for example, there are two suitable 2 components of synthetic resin which are called "uhu endfest 300" or "stabilit ultra".
Surely there is also comparable quality in your country.

Hi roshr,

I had the same problem. I found replacement hinges for Linn LP12 to be exactly the same part. Here's a link: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Linn-LP12-Lid-H ... 2749.l2649
What's great about these hinges is that the lid stays in any position, so they're high quality.

Hey Langer, it was the hinges itself that broke. However I found someone had 3D printed some. so I am going to give this a go to see what happens.

I wish I had know about those Linn hinges working! On my Sony turntable, I cut the hinge pockets off, painted the area, and replaced them with LP-120 hinges.

Hello,
I'm brand new to this site but have been lurking and find it extremely informative and helpful.
I've got an 80's Sony PS-T33 with one missing hinge so the dust cover does not stay open while I'm trying to change albums and it's a real bummer. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement hinge.
Will these ones from ebay be a fit as well? The plastic is still 100% with no cracks.
These LIN LP12 look very similar and I like the way murpes fixed theirs except mine slides into the turntable base(as in no screws) Was this done as an extra measure or is that how it was attached to your stock Sony PS-X45 cover at the bottom.
Thanks so much for any and all help.
