Lennon & McCartney indeed wrote 'Love of the loved' for Cilla Black. You now have to look of 'It's for you' and 'Step inside love', which they also wrote for her.....they wrote so many songs for others. I have them all on CD.
Oh yes, Santa loved me very much this Crimble ( ) and I will share other things soon.
I will look for these records, here in Italy are hard to find but who knows, after all also the hunting is big fun.
thank you

Yes, let's not forget "From A Window", "I'll Keep You Satisfied" and "Bad To Me" for Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, "I Don't Want To See You Again" and "World Without Love" for Peter & Gordon, "Tip Of My Tongue" by Tommy Quickly and many more!

You guys may want to check out this CD, too...

I recently found some similarly interesting Dylan covers. On Judy Collins' "Fifth Album", she recorded THREE Dylan compositions..."Mr. Tambourine Man", one of the first recorded versions of the song (Judy did not copy The Byrds version, but actually heard Bob playing it for the first time on a visit to the home of Dylan's manager, Al Grossman. Bob also was there and Judy heard him in the basement practicing the song all night...), "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" (recorded once by Ian & Sylvia and then much, much later by Dylan himself) and "Daddy You've Been On My Mind" (which Dylan never officially recorded)! Joan Baez also recorded "Love Is A Four-Letter Word", another song that Dylan never waxed on any album or single! :D

Hi all,
here another little batch of goodies

Eric Clapton - Tears in heaven
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_xUlSJvvBBc/ ... heaven.jpg

Crosby Stills & Nash – Wasted on the way – DELTA
This is my first Japan press single.
Found in a record fair in Bologna, where the seller (a strange French man, I asked him “Got anything by Serge Gainsbourg? “I don’t know him” he answered, but maybe my French pronounce was not good enough… ) had only Japanese editions, 7” and 33. As you can see, the quality is stunning, also the playing is great. I’ve looked for this single since long time not much for the A side but mainly for beautiful B side Delta.

Depeche Mode – Leave in silence

The Isley Brothers – Highways of my life

The Specials – Ghost town

Yardbirds – Paff.. bum – Questa volta (ITA Ricordi International).
Yes, the boys singing in Italian

Hope you liked 'em

Great tune! Marilyn Scott also does a great version of that one!

Saturday I've found "from a window" in the same bin where I did find Cilla Black.
nice but not in the same level of "Love of the Loved".
nice cover of the Isleys, this song is pure bliss.
cheers K

As it is impossible to picture all my singles separately, I decided to make pictures of just a group or artist. Here my Beatles singles.

You're one-up on me in the Beatles department, that's for sure! =P~

Now, how about The Stones? Maybe some psychedelic bands? :-k

Wow, keesie! Now I'm REALLY weak in the knees! =P~

What a fabulous collection!! 8) =D> Thank you SO MUCH for sharing those with us! WE ARE NOT WORTHY! Are they all Dutch pressings or do you have a mix there??? That's the one cool thing about The Beatles and Stones...There were different picture sleeves and even b-sides for the various countries of Europe...The UK, France, Germany, Italy, etc. all had their own versions...Some titles only came out in certain countries...To be a completist collector on something like those Beatles 45's, for instance, the search would be endless!

I noticed that you have the Stones up to early 70's...What about Stones records post-1971 and the solo Beatles stuff (i.e. John, Paul. George and Ringo separately)??? :-k

Thanks VM. As I said I am into the 60's, so in general I collect the singles to around 1970. With the Beatles that is easy, because they split up in 1970. Also I tend to have one version of each. Not really going for all possible sleeve variations of each country.

With the Rolling Stones the ones after 1970 or 1971 I have on CD, not on vinyl. ( I have everything on CD anyway)The same goes for Kinks. The solo Beatles are mixed into 'general', so that would take sometime to picture. The groups I am showing you each have their own case.

Hereby another. The Greek group Aphrodite's Child was formed around Vangelis and Demis Roussos. Although the just had singles here in Holland, you can also see some very rare EP's. Those were only done in Portugal.

The group Earth & Fire started in 1970, and there goes my 'principle' of collecting 60's.....ah well, it is a Dutch group, so I hope some exceptions can be made.... It is a sort of progressive rock/symphonic, a bit like ELO.

Ok. let me carry on a bit, if only for Vinyl Master......

Here some more Duch groups. First of all the Cats. They started around 1965, and disbanded around 1980. The first two singles (upper left)are very sought after. They were most popular in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Indonesia.

Everybody older than 40 might still remember Shocking Blue. Their song 'Venus' became nr one in the USA. In the collection some sleeves which seem to be the same ones, but sometimes one is a single, another one a rare EP from Portugal.
