New 45 fit problem

Post by Beebs » 12 May 2013 20:11

I just bought some new vinyl on RSD including a 45 that won't fit on my table. It has a small hole that doesn't require an adapter, but the hole is too small and won't fit onto the pin. (I wish I knew the correct terms). I've come across records that fit snuggly but never one that won't fit at all. Any ideas? Do I need to put it on the drill press? I'd hate to ruin it, it's a nice colored vinyl.

I use the pointy end of a file. A little at a time until it just fits. Use it like a drill

The best thing to use is the handle(the part you press down on) on your average nail clipper. Find a pair with smooth edges and the handle ending with a point. Works every time and never gouges into the vinyl.

Another method that works well is the pen or pencil, you returned the next mine until the beginning of the conical part of the body of the pen and you turn by pressing lightly!
