Well, well, well...WHERE did you pick up these? And have you found any interesting ones in the bunch? Let me know if you come across any unusual artists...I might be able to give you a little background on the unfamiliar ones...

By the way, if you resize any pics in the Paint program, you can skew the pic, too, so it's right side up...

There are some pretty obscure stuff, down to the mainstream. I think the favorite i have listened to so far is "Boots Randolph." It was a first for me. as for where. I went to a thrift store and was perusing through the 45's, and the store owner said "do you lie 45's." I confirmed. He told me to come check out the backroom. when igot back there there were about 30 crates stacked against the wall. he told me to do my best. I happily obliged and spent 7 hours sifting through about 15000 records and whittled it down to these 300.

That's pretty cool, madplatter! 8) Put me in a backroom with boxes and boxes of dusty old 45's anyday, and I'll have a "field day" with them! :D

I guess it's the "thrill of the hunt", if you know what I mean... And you never know just what you're going to find! I hope he gave you a good deal, too...If you like any of what you found, you might have to go back there for more! =P~

Although I like my 12" (or maxi) 45s, I'm not that crazy about 7" 45s. But I sometimes come across things that I find interesting enough to get. And yesterday was the case. I went to pîck up a couple LPs and a Maxi but came back with an extra Maxi and 5 7 inchers... which are from a label based in my present hometown of Rouen, Normandy, called Yakisakana Records and all punk/garage kind of rock. The bands were unknown to me and seem to be pretty obscure. 2 of them are french, 1 is canadian and the last two, I believe one is french and the other (The Kodiaks) I have not the slightest idea.

I'm back because I found info on the Kodiaks.

This morning I realized that the inside of the foldover cover is also printed and, lo-and-behold, name of the musicians and their location. So, I no know that they are (or, were at the time of this recording) from Austin, TX.

And, yes, I know it's not that big a deal but I'm happy anyway. Plus, I'll be able to add some details about this band on Discogs because, even though this record is listed, there is no image of the inside of the cover and no info on the band.

Nice! Some good ones there, madplatter! Were they a new find or part of the previous haul? :-k

Taken from a "bargain box" (i.e. box full of scratched old singles) at a record store, so it's rather worn and scratched.

It's a bit warped, but otherwise pretty good condition, especially for the money it cost. And it's literally an epic record:

I've started to like singles, sadly the record stores I know don't really have them.
