More flea market speakers. Thoughts?

Ok, guys.
These are at a local flea market.
Assuming they work (have not verified), what are your thoughts?

Buy them! You may have seen my $200 Dynacos when I first bought them...

33608

Also in rough shape, but remember...

New grille cloths can be bought or made...Foam surround kits can also be bought...and reasonably!

Mine were worth every penny and are in my main system! =D>

Soooo, my advice to you on the Advents is...BUY THEM!!

YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

Read the reviews and you will see...

https://www.stereophile.com/standloudsp ... index.html

Both of our speakers were considered "best buys" then and I'd say BEST BUYS NOW! =D>

But, I would NOT wait long...They are bound to get snapped up by someone quicker than you, and if I were you, I would NOT let that happen! [-X

Besides, if you run into any trouble, you've got plenty of Engineers here in your corner! :D

Before plunking down MY hard-earned $$....I'd DEFINITELY want to audition them!!
Those (probable) water stains on the grill cloth and rear panel COULD spell trouble.....
I just pulled a pair of JBL bookshelf speakers out of a corner of an upstairs room in our house that had rain seep in (read: NEED SHINGLES!!)......they had sustained enough damage to destroy the cones and display a buildup of mold/mildew inside the cases!! Instant "round file" material!!:(
IF you can listen to these Advents.....and they SOUND good.....offer $100 --- see if the seller "bites"!! Good Luck!

Good thoughts, DL110luvr...I wouldn't totally dismiss them due to the water stains, as they are still quality speakers! But, yes audition them if you can...Otherwise, like DL said, see if he'll take $100 due to the staining and the fact you will have to replace the covers and maybe the surrounds...Always remember...When buying any piece of equipment, you can always use any defects, issues or cosmetic problems to haggle something down to a better price...Act like you know what you're talking about, and they just might take your offer seriously! But, here's hoping it all works out one way or the other! [-o<

I would offer the seller $80.00 without even testing them. Those are in very rough shape, indeed!

For the same price to about sixty-dollars more, you can get a fully-functioning, much nicer-looking set at the auction site.
