I just bought a Yamaha A-S701, as it is well reviewed and rated, but I found it not to have as pure or clean sound when compared to my old Kenwood KA 87 that it was replacing (highly subjective I know)...
So the Kenwood is back in my system, Yamaha is out.
Even though the Yamaha has way better specs than the Kenwood, it just doesn't sound as clean... I never use the (terrible) loudness button on my Kenwood either, so I am comparing just the straight sound processing of each unit.
Does anyone know what the top models for the KA series were?
Mine certainly is not top of the range, but spec wise the KA 880D seems good, does anyone have any more information?
I can't find much on the web it seems - apart from going through manuals here on Hifi Engine.
Anyway thanks for any Help
