Is the motor broken since you want to remove it out of the housing?

I have a Michell Orbe driving with a Chinese made DC motor with 1 mm diameter belt.
The belt given very little pulling force to the bearing which should be an advantage to minimize noise and side wear.

Will Michell Engineering do the tap for an owner?

Is your Chinese motor still working for you?

I need a motor and don't really want to pay $900 for such a simple thing.

Would you mind telling where you sourced the motor? Thanks.

Good luck with the 2nd arm.

As Gotcha Man and Werner pointed out, you will need to drill out the subchassis rear left so that a 2nd arm can be mounted there. My Gyro dates to the early 80's and the subchassis came predrilled for a 2nd armboard at that time.
