Gyro SE / SME 309 to SME V

Post by Schlep » 23 Sep 2018 20:46

Hi all -

For those who have moved from a SME 309 to a SME V on a Gyro, did you find the investment worth it, or for the price do you think it would have been better to keep the 309 and invest in different table to house it on?

FWIW, I have no issue with the Gyro 'sound'. . . all it does is play music : ) Just wondering about the value on offer moving to a V.

thanks

I've only compared the IV to the V and they are very similar in sound to these ears so to me it isn't worth to make the jump for a SME V. I believe you get around 90% of the SME V sound with the 309 so keep on playing and enjoying the music instead.

Spend the money on an Orbe and keep the 309!
