Gyro SE Leveling

Post by Schlep » 16 Sep 2018 19:10

Hello -

In leveling the Gyro SE (note: underlying surface is level), if the perspex base or aluminum structure must be adjusted to achieve a level record platter, which of the following apply:

1) Level the perspex to the underlying surface (which is level); compensate for an unlevel platter via spring adjustment.

OR

2) Space the aluminum to each 'tower'1-2mm above the felt pad; compensate for an unlevel platter via the feet.

Hopefully my description is easy to understand : )

Thanks

Craig

Method no. 1 is correct.

I don't know if you've seen this already, but it is very helpful.

@ 33.3 -

Thanks I did see that. I gave it a quick read, but thought the point was more implied than expressly stated. I certainly could have missed something.

. . . time to re-level : )
