Pioneer pl115d question

Post by Elcohen23 » 07 Jan 2020 03:09

I’m a musician but never knew gear all that well. Just picked up a mac1900 and jbl l100s so I set it up with my pioneer pl115 and im learning. It just started slowing way down and speeding up though. Won’t stay steady at all. Would it most likely just be in need of a new belt? That’s what I’m hoping. If so should I get a better one than the standard replacement from Amazon. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Lubrication is another factor. Old lubes can get gummy.
Both the motor and the platter bearings should be attended to. Sewing machine oil is safe to use. It is light, and made to last.

Cheers,
Alec
