Pioneer PLX-1000: Remote start/stop?

Post by NewOldVinyl » 03 Feb 2019 19:07

I can’t find any information on whether or how the PLX-1000 can be wired for remote start/stop. The application would be a radio station with their “board” being able to start turntable playback. They currently have this set up for their AT-LP120-USB turntables. The start/stop feature would be essential in any replacement turntable.

Thanks in advance. If this is addressed elsewhere on VE, I’m just not finding it.

I cross-posted my question in the Turntables and Tonearms forum, hoping to get more views. Apologies, I hate doing that, but I think it'll get more views over there.

I asked my question directly to Pioneer DJ Support. Got a nice reply from them. Theoretically the remote start/stop feature can be wired up to the START/STOP switch on this (or most any) turntable, but it would be a hack. There’s no official support for this feature.
