So, there's been a small update in my storeage of what I keep some of my 45's in, (though it's for my favorite 45's.) My mom had some small plastic crates sitting around, and she gave them to me. Turns out their sort of like the crates the owner of my favorite record store uses to store the 45's as well!!

This guy has some collapsible ottomans that he uses for his vinyl record collection...Very chic and something that can blend in with the decor of a room, without looking too cluttered...Nice! 8)

The portable storage boxes also seem to work well...

Hi guys ... Newbie here. Have been busy with some timber and tools and came out with these 2 identical shelves - each holding 150 x 12" records. The two top rows are 1 deep only - just for display. It was great fun working out a unique and ergonomic design that would allow a front facing, flip forward arrangement that did not obscure the artwork.
This is only a couple of weeks old. Will be sanding down and applying a light matt walnut stain when i get the chance.
The lines seem bent due to the lens on the mobile phone ... they are all perfectly square in reality.

Of the dozens of wood screws used to secure the bits together, the only screws you could see were the 6 front facing ones on that bottom rail. i used some left over dowel to turn out dinky little caps which you can see on the finished article above.

Nice job, very smart bit of building. They look great even before you do the finish.

The caps don't bother me at all but you could have done plugs instead if you wanted a flatter/smoother look. But no matter what, a very nice looking storage and display.

One I could unfortunately never use because of too many vinyl in too small a space.

Thanks for your kind comments... It was a good experience building something bespoke and correct for my requirements. And when I am gone, my kids will hopefully look at it and say "Dad built that! ... He was crazy" It has certainly been built to last

Some pretty good ideas I’m going to have to steal.

Thanks. Its my homage to those old CD and DVD cabinets with dowels. Plus a solution to cutting out some fat for international customers.
