And then, this would be more for those who have some punky DIY sensibilities, but very colorful nonetheless...Just make up some wooden boxes and paint and stencil them in outrageous colors...You'll be the envy of the neighborhood!

I like those and a good project for pallet wood.

I keep around 60 vinyl albums in a square leather footstool.12"vinyl fits in perfectly dust free since it has a tight fitting lid.

I've bought my last vinyl storage units, IKEA Kallax 2x4 units, cheap off Craigslist.

I know it's not always good to cheap out...Personally, I just spend my money and buy the boxes from Bags Unlimited, but if any of you are REALLY broke and need an idea for holding the 7-inch records, I will give you a couple of ideas...First off, see if you can snag some boxes like this from your local grocery store...They are used to hold the produce and meat bag rolls...

45243

I also discovered that they are just the right size for those 7-inch records and picture sleeves, too! :-k

45244

And because they can hold the weight of 4 rolls of bags, they can stand up to quite a few records! :D

Of course, if you don't have access to that, take a look at this crafty video I noticed...The poster has a similar idea here...

Of course, for the large records, here is something more substantial...and homemade, too! :-k

I picked up an industrial bread box. Pine wood cover over industrial grey, hydraulic hinges, and stainless accents.

Now, scrapjack, THAT'S using the old needle...er...noodle!

What, pray tell, would have possessed you to consider using something like this to store records in? :-k

And second of all, WHERE did you find this monstrosity and how heavy is it? I like it VERY MUCH! =D>

It's such a cool thing I'm...I'm...at a loss for words! 8) :D

My reaction is the same as VM's: I like it very much! Quite a beautiful object.

On the other hand, not the most practical for a large collection. If you can even find enough of them.
