I'm not listening to cassettes right now. But when I am listening to my cassettes they are recorded by myself with all kinds of music I did not owe at that time (1980's).
They (all Maxell XLII) still sound great after all those years. And on the same decks as then :D =D>

I have a Nakamichi LX5 but since I also have a Tandberg TCD 440 A the Nakamichi is not much used.
I prefer the tape version over the cd...https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W_m3lMNL9QM

Played my first Cassette in a while, and glad I did - Pentangle "Fairport Convention". Very engaging, and very Analogue of course - no hint of digititis, naturally. Sounded better than I remembered it - maybe due to the newer 100w class A Amp?
The Cassette player is aPioneer CT-S430S, one of the last they made. Worth buying if you see one for sale.

I also have an Aiwa ADF990 Player. Made some very good sounding recordings on TDK MA-R matal tapes using a Sony PSX800 T/T and Dynavector Karat 23RS cartridge.

I have almost all of Zeppelin's first four albums on three cassettes. I think a friend recorded them for me in about 1990. For some reason the songs are in a completely different order than on the original albums and each cassette contains songs from several albums. Because of this I still haven't bought any of the records because then I would have to buy all of them. I also have a 1971 live show that I taped from the radio, also in the early Nineties. Just recently listened through all the tapes, they still sound good.

I just found a stash of tapes I made on my Nak decks way back. These tapes were missing for years. I am actually knocked out by the fidelity of these things! Played back on the same Nak deck that recorded them, the sound quality is shockingly good. The one that caught my attention was a compilation of Bruce Springsteens B sides and non album tracks, many from the original 45RPMs.This was before "Tracks" etc. so they were a novelty at the time.

I also found a pre-recorded Travelling Wilburys cassette that I am spinning now as well :D

I've been listening to the same mixed cassette (King Diamond's Conspiracy and "Them" on the same cassette, ripped from vinyl) for about 5 months every weekday for the drive to and from work.
"If anything people need to realize music is just something that human's have created. Noise/tones organized to have some form of structure. However, like Frank Zappa said, music IS just noise. Its up to the people to determine if they like said noise." Quote I made regarding Music Genres.

Yessongs, self recorded from the album, used a JVC GI-90. This was back in the early 80's and it is still sounding great, well as good as possible from the crap phones I have, saving up for a better pair, I like the looks of the ATH M50x. Happy days
I did not think that the first post had worked, hence the second one. s**t, too much fun in my youth, brain IS scrambled lol.

The last one was Ahmad Jamal "Poiciana," it's the name of the cassette as well as his most recognised performance.

This is also on the tape.

For the last week or so, up until yesterday, due to me being an idiot, my vinyl was sounding less than great, so I have listened to quite a few old mixtapes, the New Order Ltd edition boxes of Movement, Power, Corruption and Lies and Brotherhood.

But what got the most plays was my copy of the last Vinyl Engine Traveling Tape:

Great stuff!
