my first experiment to write more than a few words about technic in english... sorry in advance for mistakes!
i will tell you about JVC Tape decks in sequence from 1977 till 1992 (it's the best time for tapes i think- or? :-))
i start with the KD-A95 or KD-3030(1977), followed from KD-85(1978), then KD-A8, KD-A77, KD-A7 and KD-A6(1979), DD-9, DD-7, KD-A66 (1981), DD-V9 (1984), DD-VR77 (1987), TD-V711BK (1988), TD-V1010TN (1990), TD-V1050TN (1992)
KD-A95 the "greatest" tape with JVC/Victor ever has build. like a tank. Full aluminum front cover, buttons and controls
; sheet metal covering. No plastic material. Handles are possible. the KD-3030 has integrated handles in the front cover.
KD-3030:

KD-95:

both match to the JVC/Victor 2020, 3030 or 7070 series.
i will write nothing about the acoustics, the options list and more.
if you are a vintage fan- you MUST have it! :-)
regards, k

no, no it's not a monster!! :-) it's a great piece of history. but it's correct, the place for my museum is nearly full. in the future maybe i build a own building on my land....:-) no problems with my better half, because we love both the technic and the musik. the next step will be to build a bigger living room.
for a better impression a foto of one place for comparing tape decks:
