After reading about them...and seeing pics in a couple of radio stations.....I pulled the trigger on a Reloop 7000MK2...
It arrived yesterday (7/18)....i had ordered an Ortofon Concorde cartridge along with it.
Turned out the cart was a dud (no left channel output).....but I mounted my Denon DL-110 in a new headshell and...
WOW!!
This 'table is OUTSTANDING!! More torque (adjustable!) than you'd ever need....ditto speed adjustment (up to +/- 50%)..
Oh.....and a big selling point for me.....IT PLAYS 78s!!:)
Got an AT-95CE coming from LP Gear.....should arrive next week.....
One thing that bums me....the Reloop comes with NO dust cover (ordered one from another vendor.....!). I realize it's a TT geared more to the DJ than the audiophile.....but making the cover an OPTION is pretty bizarre, IMO....kinda like a car maker charging and extra $1000 to provide a HOOD! Most folks would order one, but wouldn't be too happy that it wasn't "standard" equipment.....!

Happy Sunday!
I picked up my Pioneer PL-12D today. It is just as the seller described...needs belt and stylus...small potatoes (no sweat).
The cart's an AT of some sort...his wife had it before they were married. It was her father's.

Went to my brother's house after that (big road trip!) to pick up a "self-threading" take-up reel and other goodies.

I wanted to throw some "atta-boys" out to ghaasl for a job well done as DJ on Album Rock 540, "the Goat"!
Used the A-1200 to do the recording. Just gotta transfer to digi to use in the car. Didn't get to it last night...great job G! =D> =D> =D> =D> and more!

Absolutely, Dasher...And you're just gonna love the Pioneer...I have a feeling you'll be able to get her back into tip-top shape again with a little TLC and jives11's blog here...

The belt and the stylus are but a drop in the bucket, too...Still, she's a beauty nonetheless! 8) =D>

Went and got a Sony PS-22 for cheap on saturday, does that count for "this week"?
It's in good shape except for the guy who i got it from had removed the automatic and arm lift mechanisms because he didn't like using them, as he put it.
Turns out he removed the cam gear and the lift's half moon rest. But the rest of the innards are ok so will be getting it back to original here shortly. Got the arm lift working again and I have a cam gear from a PS-T1 which is half-automatic so will have to do some mods to make it a full automatic one. Can't understand why anyone would want to lift it all by hand and let it remain in outro endlessly. To each his own i guess but seems idiotic to ruin a perfectly good player like that. But anyway, it plays just lovely with the original Sony cartridge and stylus. And it runs so quietly too.

...Sunday is the beginning of the week, yes...the end game before going back to work, buut...I throw in whatever I haven't shown, yet.... (right/wrong, no offense to anyone)
I have to agree with you about the previous owner...he went to great lengths to "convert" an automatic to a manual (why all that? #-o :-k ](*,) ).
Oh "whell"...it sounds as if your Sony has a great home, too. Give is some pics, please!

Another work in progress; the cam gear is from a PS-T1 it's actually the semi-auto version with only one clutch-cam lever. It now switches off perfectly when it gets to the gap, only need to add the second clutch-cam-catch thingy so you can start it back up with the start/stop button... Funny but I just like things to work as original.

Last week... (I have to catch up...) I bought a Little Bear MC2 passive pre-amp from my manager. He ordered one, didn't show up on time, contacted seller, sent replacement, both show up in the end.
Used it to amp up my smartphone into the receiver (didn't think headphone signal was in need of upping into line. I expected to have to lower the input).
It sounds very good. Recording went well.

Last post on te PS-22; found some time (and parts) to finish up the auto gear work. After fitting and adjusting everything it now works the way it was intended: button to Start and it starts up and carries the needle gently to the run-in; button to stop and it lifts and returns to arm rest; at the end of the record it lifts up and returns to the rest. In Repeat mode it does that good too. Now to decide to resell it or keep it as a nice 2nd set coz it really does sound good even with the original cartridge.

Great work on the Sony.

I'd be tempted to keep it for a while if you have a use for it and sell it if you find you aren't using it.

Thanks Tonybro, but yeah i already have 3 other auto direct drives I'm not keen on parting with. Besides my main deck. Dilemma's aplenty, but at least they don't shed hair or crap all over the place :-/

Bit the bullet and bought a second Reloop 7000MK2 turntable...it arrived yesterday (8/5)...
Picked up a couple of Ortofon headshells to go with it....
Mounted a Denon DL-110 MC cartridge and did the required alignment/adjustment for VTF/anti-skate, etc. and fired it up!
These tables are used at my Part 15 FM station.....so they're fed into a mixer (Peavey FX-2 24 channel) with "substantial" EQ.....! They sound FANTASTIC!
NO hard back-cueing here!! A bit of "space" between cuts is, IMHO, a small price to pay to ensure my vinyl will last a tad longer and sound quieter!!:)

Hello everyone, I have a question. I have a opportunity to get a JVC QL-7 or a JVC QL-F4. Which one is the better turntable of the two? Thanks!
