RCA Cable Length

Post by snash » 18 Jul 2008 03:10

Hey ! I need some friendly advice, My turntable and pre-amp are about 3 meters from my amplifier due to vibiration concerns, would a high quality 4 meter RCA cable from the pre-amp to the main amp be too long for good listening ? I'm running a 3 meter Radio Shack RCA cable now to a cheap turntable now, it works, but I'm getting ready to upgrade things and I don't want to compromize some good components. Thanks in advance !

There's a good thread on here somewhere about the length of interconnects vs speaker cables, and the concencus is a long interconnect is no problem , a long speaker cable is.
