Pioneer CT-W630R Double Cassette Deck

Hi All,

I have an issue with Deck 1, when I press play the tape goes fast, could some one help as to what to do.

The tape should be held between the capstan and the rubber pinch roller. This regulates the speed. If it is not held, then the tension on the take-up spindle will race it through.

No, the tape is being taken up.
The tape speed should be regulated by rotation of the capstan, that thin rod that protrudes into the tape well, as the tape is pressed against it by the rubber pinch roller that is below it, and pinches the tape against the
capstan when you press Play.
