Russ Andrews' Torlyte...
Back in the day, Russ Andrews used to market all sorts of stuff to make your hi-fi come alive. P'raps he still does. He used to make a range of stands, made of a "wonder-stuff" called Torlyte - does anybody know what exactly it was?

I'm sure it was the same kind of thing as IKEA Lack tables!

Not quite the same - a wooden internal grid instead of paper. The structure is illustrated on page 18 at https://issuu.com/russandrewsaccessorie ... nnected_25.
The product range is still available, BTW. I do have a Torlyte platform, but don't use it at the moment.

I just typed his name and got this. Looks like a typical audio enhancement website. Without too much hyperbole claiming amazing, revealing tweaks to get one to the next level of audio snake oil enjoyment.

Lol - that's why I asked... 'cos my turntable, phono stage & amplifier are all tastefully arranged on Ikea's finest Kallax system and although I tried them on a variety of dedicated hifi stands before I went with the Kallax, none sounded any better!I'm sure it was the same kind of thing as IKEA Lack tables!
