45 rpm adapter

Post by wino14 » 29 Apr 2019 01:18

Looking for a 45 rpm center post spindle adapter for a bsr sp910 turntable in a panasonic se4070. From what I'm finding out they are very rare and I have scoured the internet trying to find one. VOM website has it listed but none available.
Any help would be extremely helpful

These would be hard to find, I would suspect that most people would have discarded their 45 spindle adaptor when singles became uncool. You might be lucky to find one though.

If you want the auto-change function, you may have to resort to inserting a clip-in adapter into your records.
Otherwise, if you don't want to use the auto-change function, buy a standard non-changing spindle with a standard 45 spindle insert.

Can you please post the link for the VM page you found for the spindle that fits the SP910, I'm unable to find it or the SE4070 mentioned in either the BSR or Panasonic spindle lists. I can try and find you the part if you show me the VM page you saw.

Hi Damien,

I'm not wino 14, but here is the link to Voice of music: https://www.thevoiceofmusic.com/

They mainly specialize in VM stuff but they are a good resource for all sorts of parts for mid-fi record playing equipment.

My RCA RP190 45 changer and an old Admiral 78 changer were restored with parts from them.

This one?

Something possibly worth investigating is that it looks extremely similar to the Technics one fitted to the SL-235, et al.

Unlikely to be the one for the 1350/1650/1950, as this has an additional hook underneath.

Search continues. Someone put one up on ebay a couple of weeks ago but wanted 130 bucks for it. No way I could pull the trigger for that amount.
