Hi all, not been on here for a good while.
I'm after some advice - I've got a very late Anni / SME V which is perfect in all aspects apart from it's speed.
It's got the battery PSU - I'm aware of the trim pots inside and on 45RPM I can get it bang on. 33 on the other hand I have no chance with - the slowest I can get it to run is 34RPM. Any ideas? Has something gone out of spec with age?
When I bought the deck a couple of years ago it came with a spare non battery PSU - are all Anni PSUs compatible? I've never tried it (and unfortunately the 'spare' PSU is in black whereas the deck and matching battery PSU is in bare wood)
Many thanks!
Anni - 34 RPM

Re: Anni - 34 RPM
Hi
I would imagine the innards of the psu are pretty similar but you would know more than me as you have both available to check one against the other.
You could try a brief squirt of something like deoxit into the trim pots in case there's a bit of poor track conductivity.
As for the difference in the case, is it an option to swap the insides etc over or is there an extra switch for batt/mains selection on one but not the other?
Its been a while since i looked at a battery psu version and mines a straight mains version.
Surprised no one else has chipped in with info yet.

Had exactly the same problem when I bought a battery Anni from Emporium HiFi last year. Their in house engineer fixed it, so probably worth giving them a call. Dealt with their Suffolk branch, ask for Nick.

A little bit nearer for you than Suffolk, why not give Dough Brady a call. https://www.dougbradyhifi.com/ I have read on a forum, most possibly here, they have someone who works there and is knowledgeable about PT turntables.
