Regarding Belts: I just put on an 'Origin Live Upgrade Belt' and it really sounds like they advertise: Smoother, better defined bass and treble. So recommended!

Thanks Gerard, it is good to have a recommendation, as the belt is more expensive than the Funk Firm 'original'. I may well give one a go when one of mine starts stretching.

Tim, are you still making the carbon/balsa armboards? (sorry to hijack the thread).

Hi,

Yes, I still have a few blanks, and given sufficient information about the holes required I should be able to cut them. Over the course of the winter it may get too cold for me to work in the shed so there may be delays!

Hi

My first post on here - I am the lucky owner of an original Anniversary fitted with a Funk FXR-2 pick-up arm and Dynavector DV20XL2 cartridge. I have owned several nice turntables over the last 30 years but the Anniversary is my favourite by some distance.

If anyone is based in the UK and needs some help with set-up or servicing I can happily recommend Andrew at Doug Brady Hifi. He used to work with Arthur and is very knowledgeable.

Regards
Tony

Hi Tony, welcome. Nice to hear from a fellow Anniversary owner helping to keep the home fires burning! Does anyone know the numbers of Anniversaries that were produced/sold? Tim?

I am not sure anyone can remember now; I would guess at hundreds rather than thousands; almost all turntable serial numbers seen are below 400, Natty's unique PSU is 3000-odd and one deck I saw on eBay was 1215, but there is no guarantee of any logic to the numbering!

any instructions for making a armboard (dimensions materials)for my Pink Anny to carry a mission mechanic because the carbon fibre armboards are not longer obtainable and no longer in production.

Be cheaper and easier to just buy one of Tim's.

I'd also endorse Andrew at Brady's, he has kept my Anniversary in exemplary working order over the years.
His experience and enthusiasm is second to none.

The Anni' is simply superb!

I am currently using an SME V with a detachable headshell and a Koetsu Rosewood Sig. The combination has a certain something that is hard to describe 8) 8) 8)

I have been reading all 3 pages of this PTA subject. I have kept my PTA since 1990. I brought in Pink Trinagle as a distributor in the Philippines. I have stopped and started then stopped using my gear over long periods. People in my house have moved my PTA and the last one 6 months ago must have been done without much care since when I checked on the bearing tonigh, I just saw chards of broken glass around the base of the spindle.

Does anyone know where I can order a sapphire bearing or any replacement bearing. I am not to sure whether the PTA used just one size bearing. The Serial No. On my unit is 305. I would appreciate any help. Sorry if I changed topic on this thread. - jess

There is a company that can do replacement jewels at a reasonable cost. I'm sure they've been mentioned here somewhere.
