Whilst hunting around for albums with a high dynamic range for testing purposes that were not stodgy audiophool fare came across his late 70s recordings. Now planning how to get them all past the wife...

Have you heard his collaboration with Rosa Passos, Entre Amigos?

It's beautiful.

Ordered the CD for now of entre amigos. £10 vs £25 I couldn't justify the extra. That £15 buys me one of the earlier LPs off ebay as well :)

I have the SACD. I think this recording is digital in origin. The LP was gifted to me. It's a little thin but better than some albums I own. My SACD sounds better. I suspect the CD will sound very good as well.

It was recorded in 2003 so that would be my best guess. Still a beautiful recording and performance.

I believe this girl has been mentioned on other threads (and I've known about her for some time), but if you guys really want to dig something smooth, I suggest getting all FOUR albums that British artist Rumer has put out...Here is just a taste for the uninitiated! :D

And she even does some classic spins on Bacharach & David...and really well, too!

I had the pleasure of seeing this young trio from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia live recently. These songs are on their debut album, but they will be putting together a new one this fall.

In the first video They are Breagh MacKinnon, Carleton Stone and Dylan Guthro

They're good, Tink...I like their harmonies and it goes to show that there is so much talent in the provinces that gets overlooked in the States, unless you're Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain, Neil Young or Rush...
