I have a few Asian bootlegs in translucent orange vinyl: Beatles' Hard Day's Night and Revolver, Donovan Sunshine Superman. Packaging is strange, too--light cases with plastic wrapping the outside and inside and heavily typo'ed lyrics on the back. Not top-notch, but I appreciate the novelty of it all.

The only other colored recored I have is Cake's Showroom of Compassion in red.

Got a few red ones myself (Rocky Horror, Dead by April) and I think I have a blue one. I also have two clear (one is erroneously referred to as blue on Discogs) ones unless you coun't doubles as I've got a signed one as well, which would make it three clear.

I take it the treasured one is the "Motörhead" one? Otherwise I'd be very willing to buy it for a friend who's a huge Motörhead fan.

It is, a sad loss to Rock and the world in general

the reverse is almost as good as the front

21607

I have seen them come up on Discogs for sale at around £10- £15 but I guess at the moment they'd be more.

The majority of albums will have a sticker on the shrink saying the vinyl is coloured, but not all of them. In fact, sometimes the only way to know is to go on the record label's site and read the pre-release info.

I like clear vinyl, and if one considers clear as a colour then it is my favourite, but the last two clear vinyl records that I purchased were terrible. One is the Russian Circles/These Arms are Snakes split 12", which was pressed at GZ Media, and the other is Salome by Marriages. I really like the Marriages album, and imo,it was the best release of 2015 but the noise was awful so I had to buy it again. I bought the normal black issue and the difference in sound quality is like night and day, as the black is so much better.

Well, I just received this album, posted it in another thread, and it is definitely listed as a colored vinyl record...

Check out this beauty from 1976...I believe this was an "As-seen-on-TV" type compilation from England...

35941
35938
35937

Nice, eh? It's the EMTV1 "Limited Edition" blue vinyl of this album...I also have the standard black version, but I always wanted the blue vinyl version of this...Other than a couple small scratches, this actually plays very well! :D

Take a look at the back of the album, too...Notice anything odd? :-k

35943
35942

"Fun, Fun, Fun" and "I Get Around" are listed with the date of 1962, but they were IIRC actually released in 1964, if my memory serves me well...The label also lists the songs with the same incorrect date...

Still, a cool artifact from Brian Wilson & The Boys! 8)

I am eating my heart out! That Badfinger record is pretty darn cool!

I bought my first two colored vinyl's recently. The first was Shooter Jennings "Family Man" album. It is a nice red color.

The other is a numbered copy of vinyl record day 2015 release of Jerry Garcia's second solo album "Compliments". I have #4186 of 7000. I have not opened it but a sticker on the wrap indicates it is green in color.

Bought these at a little shop called Terrapin Station in Murray, KY.
