These were two finds at my local antique fair some time back, but Hilary Schmidt's "Just Before After Hours" and Art Webb's "Love Eyes" are also great! :D

I'll add a few of my favorites to go with those listed.

Grusin, Ritenour collaboration with Brazilian singer, Ivan Lins: "Harlequin"
Fourplay (any iteration)
Craig Chaquico
Stanley Jordan, esp. "Magic Touch"
George Duke/Stanley Clarke Project
David Sanborn
And, Ronnie Laws' "Friends and Strangers" is a classic
Dr-_Wu, I have something on album or CD from everyone on your list. :D I don't have the Ritenour, Grusin collaboration though. I have Friends and Strangers on CD and I just ordered the album version through Discogs last week. A real true classic indeed. =D>
Cheers.
Cheers to you, 2002! I highly recommend "Harlequin".
Love your avatar pic. I nearly bought a well-used one in about 1978. It had all the major spare parts and repair tools in fittings in the boot. That kinda scared me off. I figured "If it needs that . . ." I just didn't think about how hard and expensive it might have been to do repairs. Now I wish I'd bought it.
Thanks. I'm currently restoring my 1975 that I have had since 1982. Spare parts and tools, he probably was just a wrenchhead. They are fairly simple to work on and are really going up in value. People are even buying rust buckets to restore. Parts are starting to get a little scarce however. Good thing I started stashing parts away about 5 years ago. I think I could get more for the parts than the car. :D I'll have to look into that "Harlequin album. I already ordered a few off of Vinylmaster's list, Wilbert Longmire/Sunny Side Up and Alphonse Mouzon/Morning Sun. 8)
Cheers

Listening session this afternoon compels me to add Bob James and Earl Klugh, "One on One". Another classic.

Yikes where did the time go? Been over a month since I've been back to this thread...a recent move to 'more northernly' Ontario has had an unexpected result: 'cheaper' vinyl and SOME occasional killer finds. So- today while picking up a Mennonite Turkey pie (seriously!) I stopped into the downstairs 'flea market' for a quick look. That decision paid off- still sealed promotional (? compliments of CHUM 1050 AM Toronto, then a rock station and now still operating but Sports talk) LP of Abacab by Genesis. 5$cdn! At first I considered leaving this copy unsealed but then madness subsided and I carefully opened it up (smell that 1980s air!) and clamped it into the SL-15 linear. It's an interesting LP because unlike all the other Abacab's I have seen (the jacket cover has 'pieces of torn paper' glued to make up the image) this one has a purely photographic cover. It was pressed in Ontario too so perhaps there are other differences I am unaware of. Regardless Wow- what a sound...virgin vinyl Valhalla.

My pick ups for the past week are...

The Dave Brubeck Trio - Blues Roots

They Might Be Giants - I Like Fun
The Outfield - Voices Of Babylon
Boston - Boston ( same deal as Styx!)
Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good
Glass Tiger - The Thin Red Line (promo copy)

I think you will really like those albums, 2002! Delightfully smooth and funky jazz...If you want to go further down this jazz-fluted rabbit hole, might I suggest the following...

Dorothy Ashby's "Afro-Harping"...
