My latest thrift store haul. I made a few side-trips whilst Christmas shopping yesterday!

This is the kind of stuff I look for at thrift stores... LP's in excelent condition, with coverart that intrigues me and music that I can at least kind-of relate to.

For example: Not that I'm a huge Limeliters fan, I just liked the cover. It features what appear to be jazz musicians in the back-door of a club, smoking cigarettes between sets. I can dig that. I may have heard of The Limeliters... their name sounds cool, anyway. Turns out they are a folk trio, but that's alright too. It's still something new.

That's the kind of thing I look for, too. I bought Moog Grooves based on the girl on the cover looked an awful lot like a girl I went to school with...on one of the class reunions I took the album with me...asked her if she had any side jobs previously...another class mate looked at it and said, "ohmigosh! Yes, Judy, did you?!"
By the way, Happiest of the Holidays to all of you!

Some very different Christmas presents from my wife. Won’t lie, that Spice Girls record reminds me of being a kid; it was always on in my parents house thanks to my older brother.

This guy has been nominated for a Grammy this year so checked it out, superb album, very lucky to still get one of these editions. This was a present from my Sister and her Family.

Merry Christmas everybody, hope you're having a grand old time!

Nice. I started listening to the 50th today. I got it and the Mono White Album, while I still could get it... So far, the 50th sounds great!

I have a few of those, Gelid! It makes me wonder why you haven't added anything to my long-running thread here... :-k

Yeah, I do watch that thread.... I just never think of anything records I buy as being "budget-buys", though I guess they are if they cost $1.00 - $2.00 at a thrift-store.

I listened to the Esher disc last night. Didn't get to hear the "unofficial" version in the day, always wondered what it was like.
