And the one I’m most excited to listen to, waited 8 months to receive it.
Mobile Fidelity box set pressed from the original master tapes.

I’m desperate to get my hands on one of them, but they’re not so easy to come buy over the pond without paying double through Discogs.

Can you post how you find the sound? Is it $100 worth?

Will do. Supposed to rain on the weekend so I’m planning on a listening session.

Thanks a lot. At the moment I’ve found one U.K. site that says it will have stocks in November for cost price + import but I’m not sure how reliable that would be. My next option is Discogs probably at around 2x cost. If it really is in a class of its own I’ll happily pay that.

I don't know how reliable they would be. I had to preorder and pay in advance from Mobile Fidelity before they started pressing. From my understanding they sold all 7500 copies first.

Yeah, they’re definitely out of stock on the mofi site and we’re before release date.

I could understand if the U.K. site had them in stock around now, but why in November, just doesn’t make sense.

The person I buy all my albums from told me to order directly from Mofi because even though he placed an order he didn’t know if he would get a copy. Sure enough, he didn’t. I’m glad I bought when I did even though I had to pay more with the dollar conversion and duty, taxes plus delivery. I figured it cost me around $160 Canadian.

From what I’ve heard of this series they’re worth every penny!

I only heard of them recently with this release when another member posted on another site when he played his for the first time. I’ve signed up now to mofi for notifications for new releases and will be pre purchasing as soon as they go up, not gonna miss out again!

I’ve actually put in an order for one on discogs. I figured they’re so collectible prices are only going to go up. Initially I saw one listed but labelled as not having a number and the barcode had been scrubbed off. I ordered it as it was a good price, but then got worried that perhaps it wouldn’t be up to scratch, so cancelled it and bought a sealed copy from a US seller. It’s expensive, but in my eyes it’s such a one off series, and such a great album, I was willing to pay over the odds.

@Fire99, would still love a review if you get a second when you get to play it.

By the way, Fire99, how do you like the Toto comp? How does it sound? I've had that one on my radar for a while and was curious... :-k

Will do. Just got back from riding the motorcycle with my wife and now preparing to clean all my new albums before listening :D

My first impression so far, WOW! Clear, full sound even when they are singing softly. I have all their albums pressed by Music on Vinyl and it doesn’t come close to the sound quality. One gets spoiled listening to pressings like this from Mofi and other audiophile labels like Analogue Productions. I’d rather spend more for quality- you made a great investment, you will enjoy!

Very nice pressing vinyl master! Quiet background, no pops and a room filling sound. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the album- you won’t be disappointed!
